— It’s All Connected
Anxiety, Depression &
ADHD in Midlife
If you’ve been feeling more anxious, down, or distracted than ever, you’re not alone.
During perimenopause and menopause, hormonal shifts directly impact brain chemistry, affecting serotonin, dopamine, and GABA, the messengers that regulate calm, focus, and mood.
At Vida Women’s Health, we help you understand the connection so you can reclaim clarity, confidence, and calm.
You’ve always held it together — until your hormones changed the rules.
If you’ve been feeling anxious, unfocused, or not quite yourself, you’re far from alone.
Hormonal shifts in midlife can disrupt the brain chemicals that regulate mood, focus, and calm.
At Vida Women’s Health, we help you understand what’s happening and guide you back to balance.
You might notice:
Racing thoughts or irritability
Mood swings or emotional flatness
Brain fog and forgetfulness
Restless sleep and fatigue
Worsening focus, concentration, and attention
These changes reflect the deep connection between hormones and neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.
When your biology shifts, your brain feels it — and that’s something we can treat.
It’s Not “Just Stress.” It’s Science.

Yes! At Vida Women’s Health we have a thorough process for diagnosing and treating ADHD. Before your first appointment, you will complete a set of questionnaires we send to your email.
At your first appointment, we’ll spend about an hour getting to know you. Hearing your story and your symptoms. We help you understand what types of symptoms are indicative of ADHD and which ones are not. We also asses for other conditions such as depression, anxiety, and binge eating disorder
At our second visit, we will continue the ADHD evaluation process and discuss lifestyle changes, behavior modification, other tactics to improve your symptoms. If needed, medications will be prescribed based on shared decision making.
If medication is initiated, we schedule regular follow-ups to adjust dosage, monitor side effects, and assess the medication's effectiveness for your unique symptoms.
