Your health. Your journey. One dedicated provider.
Why a Membership Model?
Whole person midlife care isn’t one-and-done—and your health deserves more than a rushed visit. Perimenopause and menopause can impact your health for many years.
At Vida Women’s Health, membership allows me to spend real time with you, offer direct access between appointments, and provide ongoing, personalized care as your needs evolve. You get science-backed support from a medical provider who actually knows your story.
I do offer individual visits, but a membership saves you money and allows me the time and space to treat you the way you deserve—with attention, follow-through, and care that fits into your busy life. We can direct message, Zoom, or text—whatever works for you.
It’s the kind of care you should expect—and the kind I’m proud to provide.

Total Cost and Insurance Coverage
With complicated, high deductible plans and ever-increasing co-pays, does my insurance cover this and how much will this cost are no longer simple questions.
There are multiple components to the care we provide, which all have different coverages depending on your plan.
Medications: We work with you to see which medications your insurance covers and the most cost-effective place to purchase them. This could include online pharmacies for FDA-approved medications, like Amazon Pharmacy, and using discount plans like GoodRx, depending on your plan’s prescription coverage.
Labs and diagnostic tests: These are typically billed to your insurance, separate from the provider ordering them. Most insurances will cover these as in-network expenses (subject to deductibles and co-pays).
Vida visits and membership: We are an out-of-network benefit and provide an insurance-friendly “superbill” to facilitate reimbursement, and all expenses can be covered by an HSA or FSA plan. If you have a high-deductible plan, out-of-network benefits can be similar in total cost as in-network providers, depending on your total cost of care in a given year.

Yes, we believe in developing long-term, personal relationships with our patients. Adrian Thompson is currently the only provider at Vida Women’s Health.
-
The vast majority of OB-GYNS do not have proper training in menopause care. That’s exactly why the Menopause Society offers a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) credential that demonstrates expertise in menopause care. Adrian Thompson has earned her MSCP, whereas most OB-GYNs have not.
-
Physician Assistants (PAs) work under the supervision of a physician, but they can often examine, diagnose, and treat patients independently within their scope of practice, depending on state law. This includes prescribing medication as well as ordering lab work and other diagnostics. Adrian collaborates and works under the supervision of Dr. Cook to provide care to patients.
-
Adrian Thompson is the only provider at Vida, which means you develop a relationship with Adrian and always get care from the same provider who knows your history and truly cares about finding solutions to help you live your best life in midlife and beyond. The membership model ensures you have unlimited access to Adrian, so you are never navigating your healthcare issues alone.
-
Adrian offers single visits and follow-up visits as needed, but we recommend the annual membership for continuity of care. Menopause, weight loss, and sexual health are all ongoing health issues. We don’t believe in writing a prescription and leaving you to figure the rest out. Many medications often require supervision of symptoms to ensure the right dosage to get the maximum benefit. For patients not taking medication, ongoing monitoring of symptoms and results is equally important.
-
Of course. You can book a 15 minute introductory call with Adrian, or you can sign up for a single new patient visit, and if it seems like a good fit for ongoing care, you can apply the cost of your initial visit to a membership.
